Gluten Free Cake

My mom has celiac's disease and won't be able to eat our wedding cake. We are also getting married on my mom's and FMIL's birthday, so I wanted to do a gluten-free birthday cake.  The bakery which will be doing our wedding cake as part of our package doesn't offer gluten free.  Do you guys know of any bakers in the Rockland/Orange/Duchess county areas that do a gluten free cake?  I called Pastry Garden- they have a flourless chocolate cake and all their cheesecakes are gluten free- I was hoping for something alittle more than that, so this is a last resort.TIA

    There is a bakery in my town, it's pretty well known....I don't know if they make gluten free cakes but it would be worth a call....McKinney & Doyle Bakery 845-855-3707they have great cakes (my fave is the bailey's cake).gl!

    Try the Groovy Baker. She does all sorts of stuff gluten free and is located near Wappingers. www.thegroovybaker.com I have Celiac and she did a carrot cake for my bridal shower. It was delicious, and she does great decorating too.

    Maeghan- thanks so much, I gave her a call and this is exactly what i was looking for.  Plus I'm getting married at the Villa Borghese so the location is perfect!

    Yay!  So happy for you!  In addition, there is a place in Fishkill called Nature's Pantry, where she sometimes goes when they have their "gluten free days".  There are a whole bunch of GF bakers there.  That's actually how I found her, the cupcakes she had were amazing!Good luck!

    Nature's Pantry is awesome! Not only do they have a ton of gluten free foods, but they also have sugar free almond biscotti!

    There is a Nature's Pantry in Newburgh on 17k, she shops there alot!
