Thank you to whoever...

...gave me the idea of doing a chocolate-themed gift basket to give to my shower hostesses.  So what should I put in besides a box of Godiva?  Coffee?  Chocolate covered pretzels?  Hot chocolate?  And I should probably just get the basket, some wrap and some ribbon and do it up myself right?  Has anyone ever done up their own gift basket?  Please remember, I'm the least crafty person on earth.

You can put anything you want chocolate related. All of your suggestions are great. I have done my own baskets before and they are easy. Buy a cheap wicker basket or whatever kind of basket you like, the cellophane gift wrap/bags or a roll of it so you can cut it to the size you want and then just tie it with a ribbon. If you don't like the color of the basket, you can spray paint it. I think spray paint has become my best friend. You can get all this at WalMart, Michaels, etc.

I think you could even get away with not wrapping it if you really want to make it simple. Just stick some tissue paper in there with the items. Ooh! And you could look for chocolate-scented candles!

Stephie -  I just did mine last weekend.  I bought oval wicker baskets from Wal Mart and the crumpled paper filling stuff (called "create a basket" I think).  It took two packages for each basekt.  I bought lotion, sugar scrub, and body wash in three different flavors (I have three shower hosts) and a loofah to match each (dancing waters flavor is blue so I bought blue loofah, etc).  I arranged them all in a basket and then tied a little card (that I printed) on them that says "I hope your next shower is as nice as mine was" on the front and then on the back has a little thank you note from Justin and I.  I was going to wrap them in the cellophane (located at wal mart right by the create a basket stuff) and tie a ribbon bow but I decided against it because it looks really cute without it.  For Chocolate, you could include a candle (and maybe even a bottle of dessert wine?) and a card.  It wasn't hard at all and I'm not very crafty either! Sorry, that was long!

Awwww, Lindsay--cutest shower gift ever!  Thank you, that was very helpful.  Dessert wine is a great idea as well.

Thanks but I can't take credit!  I stole the shower theme/card idea from Emyliana!

Stephie, Demeter Fragrances has all kinds of different scents, and I was browsing sephora.com, and they have Hershey's candles on sale for $5!

I actually found some candles from a place called Chocolate Sensactions.  They were like $7 and came with a brown satin bag.  Hope they smell good!
