WTF?!?!

So when I was home in January we went bridesmaids dress shopping and ended up picking out a dress at Bella Sera Bridal in Danvers, MA. My sister (MOH) was the only one from my bridal party with me and she ended up getting measured and put the deposit down on her dress. My other BMs were planning on getting their dresses from other shops closer to them and we knew this at the time. The consultant asked if we wanted to wait for the other BMs to come and get fitted for their dresses before ordering the MOH dress but we said no order it now because we knew the other girls were going to other shops.

Fast forward to the end of March when my mom went to pick up my shoes and headpiece she asked if they had a date for arrival for my MOH's dress and they said THEY DIDN'T ORDER IT YET!!!! ummmm what?!?!?! My wedding is the first week of July and my MOH(my sister) is in college and had to have her dress here by May in order for her to get it altered and everything. Like when were they going to tell us they didnt order the dress yet?! The wedding is 12 weeks away and they said the dress wouldn't be in on time because it was going to take about 15 weeks to come in!

It was totally their fault and I just can't believe that they waited over 3 months to order the dress! The owner of the salon assured my mom that they would take care of the problem and make sure the dress is in by the beginning of May. I still feel that they should pay for the dress because of their mistake! Totally horrible and such a heart-attack for me!

I am so sorry that this happened to you....can certainly understand the stress.  At least the salon has said that they would expedite the order of the dress and get it there by the beginning of May.  (They are probably having to pick up the added costs for express order/delivery).  If they don't come through, I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  However, if they are still able to get the dress in as promised by early May, then at least they've kept up their promise.

I love, love, love Bella Sera.  I'm sorry that happened.  I don't think they should pay for anything as long as they get the dress to your sister by May, when she needs it altered.

That's awful!  I'm glad they're taking care of it for you though, as well they should - if you've placed an order with them, they should follow through on their end of the deal.  I do hope they're paying for the expedited order themselves?  I wouldn't necessarily demand they pay for the whole dress but I don't think it can hurt asking for a discount for the trouble they've put you through.

    Good luck!
