Permanent Makeup?

I've been toying with the idea of permanent makeup.First things first. I can't grow hair anywhere but on my head. I'm serious, I just ... don't. I have never shaved my legs, all I do is exfoliate and the slight peach fuzz dissolves. Now this sounds pretty spiffy, being a female and all, but my hairlessness comes at a price:I DON'T HAVE EYEBROWS.I have probably 10 little hairs on each eyebrow. And sometimes the little arseholes grow blond. So I paint them on. Every morning. And I have come to hate it, because I can't run my hand over my brow, I can't dab sweat when I work out, nada. I don't want to have this problem on my wedding day, so I'm thinking of permanent makeup. However if I do this and end up with brown blotches on my forehead ... that will be no bueno. My mum and my sister in law have tattooed eyebrows and at first it looked awesome ... now they both have red eyebrows. Not cool. What do you ladies reckon? Y/N?

Before you go the permanent route, have you ever tried using any product designed to promote hair growth on your brows? I know Sephora has a serum from Anastasia's line.

!!!I didn't know that at all! I considered hair implants for a crazed second (lol I'm desperate), but I didn't think those existed. I don't like the fake look of permanent makeup, but sometimes I just go "I gotta do it!"Thank you so much! I'll definitely look into it. I'm already in sephora.com lol.

I have the opposite problem. My brows are so thick and bushy they could overtake my face if I don't keep on top of them. And no, you're not crazy, I know someone who gets hairs implanted into her thin brows by a doctor in Miami.

I get the hairlessness from my mum. She doesn't know what a razor is. And she has not eyebrows either, lol.Geez, eyebrow implants. I wonder how much those are. If I had to get them once and again I'd get bored, I'm not that patient!

Yes I agree... the permanent make up always looks great at first but then fades over time... just think it's basically a tattoo... I can understand your frustration though not being able to touch your eyebrows in fear that you will mess them up or wipe off the make up, that also doesn't sound too good... Unfortunately that is a hard decision to make and while you can wipe off your makeup, you can't wipe off the permanent stuff... what if you get it done and hate it?! I would try some natural methods first or if you are serious I would even consider the implant thing... but the permanent make up as a last resort... I don't know, that's just me!

I'd say no to the permanent makeup. I'd hate for it to come out looking crazy. I'd go with pinkshoesgal's recommendation. Your siggy pic is gorgeous btw!

I'd give Anastasia's product a try first.  How long before you expect results? As far as permanent make up, I've known two people who have permanent eyebrows.  The first: my aunt's eyebrows are hideous!  Totally gross and totally f*cked over.  She looks scary and will intimidate anyone from having permanent eyebrows.  The second: my good friend has beautiful permanent eyebrows.  I know she gets them retouched every so often (not sure how often), but she goes to the right people.  You can't tell they are permanent; they are flawless. My conclusion: 50/50 situation?  I guess you gotta find the right people to do them, otherwise, you're screwed for life.

I agree with anagloria83.  There are very talented people that can tatoo eyebrows and they look awesome and not fake.  I would definitely do it, and just get it touched up as needed.

Jennius, I know where you're coming from. I also don't have eyebrows and have to fill them in EVERYDAY, since middle school!I hate it! I get it from my mom, who is hairless, except for her head. I've thought about permanent, but I'm too chicken sh*t to try it.

Oh hellz no! Makeup style changes so much. I am only 33 and have seen just eyebrow styles go from Brooke Shields thick to super defined regular, to super thin crazy drawn on, to now at little untamed regular.I would try to use the products that help stimulate growth first.

1 - your siggy picture is FIERCE ;) 2 - I'm jealous of your non-hair-problem. I'm one hairy girl and it stinks up the wazoo. 3- that being said - I say look into it and ask questions. How often would it have to be touched up? etc? good luck and let us know how the sephora product works!!

I know I am late to this post but I wanted to respond anyway because I have my eyebrows are tattooed.  I had the same problem you do, absolutely no eyebrows.  I had to draw them on every morning.  Then I had to be careful all day not to rub my face on anything or like you said wipe the sweat from my brow.  The last straw came a few years back when the guy I was dating at the time hugged me and I stepped back only to see the perfect mark of my eyebrow on the shoulder of his white shirt.  That being said I will advise that if you choose to do this that  you find a reputable cosmetologist, dont let someone do it in their livingroom or anything like that.As for the red eyebrows, yes it happens because tattoos fade.  The way to avoid this is by getting what they call "refills"  which is basically just getting it done again.  I've personally had them done 3 times in the course of 9 years and I have never had red eyebrows (except for the first time because I waited too long to get the refill).  I must tell you that each time I did it hurt more than the last time and I am seriously dreading going back.  But I will do it regardless because I'm not going to walk around with red eyebrows! lolI've been going to the same place for the past 9 years and I highly recommend them.  If you would like more info email me at adryphisig at hotmail.
