Vintage Inspired Brooches?

Hello Vintage Knotties, I have been looking online for some vintage inspired brooches, one for my bouquet and one for one of my bm's dress. I've seen a few online but they cost $89.00 and that's way too much money for me. I like ones with pearls and crystals, but not "cheap" looking crystals... any help?

Re: Vintage Inspired Brooches?

  • Why not get actual vintage brooches? You could probably get some nice ones cheaper than that if you hunt around. I'm using vintage cameos for my BMs bouquets and I found some really nice ones at a flea market. They were much nicer than the repro ones I could have gotten at Macys or the like.
  • I'd suggest going to antique stores and looking at the costume jewelry, OR you can try ebay and etsy (though etsy may be more pricey)

  • Thanks everyone for your help, I've tried Ebay and Etsy, just haven't turned up what I'm searching for yet. Didn't know if anyone had any other websites they used. Thanks though.

  • Try www.whiteaisle.com I love their stuff.  I want a pair of earrings and a bracelet from them.  Their broaches are very nice too.  The only thing that I am a little freaked out about is their no return policy.  Eek!  If you google reviews for them, it seems that everyone is happy with their purchase.

  • www.whiteaisle.com is prob the cheapest ones i ended up finding that seemed decent. I ended up spending $40 for a 1940s one at an antique shop but they had alot more that where cheaper. i would try your local antique store or flea market first :) if you are anywhere near LA the rose bowl has amazing vintage jewelry
