opinion.... s/o ring dipping...

So, Milanj does it on site, takes 1.5 hours or so, for 85 bucks... if I take it to the store I got it, bailey banks and biddle, it takes TEN DAYS, for 65.... ugh. So should I just fork over 85 and come in thursday before the wedding, or should I do it now, and just deal with not having my ring for 10 days....  which I have never not had my ring.

I think I already know what I will do but.... I am bored and wanna hear opinions. :)

I mean... it's $20.  I'd go to the place I got my ring from and wait 1.5 hours.  It's not that much more to have it back that day.
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

Yea I know, I got my wedding ring at Milanj and they were super nice, so it is only 20 more to get it back mad quick....  I just didn't know if I was being crazy for thinking like this.  It will be all new and pretty and fresh for the wedding too. If I did it now, and got it back and wore it, I would have to get it steam cleaned again once before the wedding... lol

Barskys dipped mine for free because I was shopping for earrings.   They are nice.

LOL maybe I will do that :)   Did you actually buy earrings though?

But did they have to send it out?  I rather not give it away for long... that would make me sad.

They did it while I waited, about 45 minutes.   I told them that Robbins had closed down, and so I was looking for a new jeweler (which was true, we used to buy everything from Robbins).   I was honestly looking for earrings, but didn't find the ones I wanted.  They dipped my ring anyway.  After we left, one of the owners called and told us they could custom make the earrings I wanted, so we came back and actually did end up ordering them.  But they had already given me my ring back prior to that, so they definitely dipped it with no guarentee of a sale.

Yep - Jewelers row.  But honestly it can't hurt to call some local jewelers near you and say the same thing.. That you are looking for a new jeweler, and were wondering if they would dip your ring in exchange for you shopping there in the future.

I guess I had a good reason though, since Robbins was closed and I actually did need a new jeweler.

Good thing they did dip my ring though - they gained a loyal customer, and got a nice sale out of it after all.  I actually offered Sydney Rosen the same deal, and they declined... Their loss!

Well, we just spend a TON of money in Milanj, so they should really just dip my ring for free, I should talk to the manager lady, see if she will cut me some slack being we just spent so much money there.
