Another question for me, as we have 25 days remaining and are still trying to figure some things out!Has anyone ever done Shabbat Chatan during afternoon Shabbat services (rather than in the morning)?thanks.

    I don't think you can, as the groom is getting an aliyah and the Torah is read during morning services.  But perhaps there's an exception unknown to me (I'm not Sephardic and can't really say); I'd talk to your rabbi for clarification.
