I had finally got a response back via email from the photographer in Fredericksburg that I really love about pricing. Her cheapest package is 2950!!!!!! WAY out of our budget!! And, its only for 4 hours!!! I couldnt even justify wanting to spend that much on someone for 4 hours!!!!!Ok, sorry I just had to vent!!!!

    My fiance and I had a hard time with photography prices. It just didn't seem to make much sense. I understand that pictures are lifetime keepsakes but to spend $3000+ is ridiculous! Good luck with your continued search.

    Yeah I had that experience with a lot of photographers. They charge WAY too much and then they don't even give you the rights to your photos--they make you pay for your photos. Ugh.Have you tried Caitlin's Creations? She does a la carte stuff so you don't have to buy an expensive package with stuff you don't need. She is very popular among the SA Knotties because she is professional and organized and really truly seems to care about the brides she works with. Good Luck!!!

    Hi!! I actually got married last November but just happened to be going through some of the blogs. My husband and I used Old World Studios for our photography and couldnt have been any happier with our decision. We paid under 2,000 for bridals, engagements, and 8 hrs of wedding day coverage (about 900 wedding day photos).  I actually did quite a bit of research on photographers before I was married and they were one of my FAVORITE vendors. I believe they've gone up a little in pricing but it may not be as expensive for you since your only needing 4 hr coverage. you might want to email them anyway just to get some info...it certainly doesnt hurt.     That is really pricey. There are definitely other photographers out there that you will love but not pay an arm and a leg for. Photography was something that was fairly important to us so we wanted to get someone we really liked and that had experience, but that we could still afford.I would definitely recommend my photographer, Josh Fowler. He's not the cheapest, but I think he still has pretty good prices. We're doing one of the middle packages that includes 8 hours day of, engagements, bridals, various prints, and $100 print credit. He also provides all of the pictures copy-right free in high resolution.
