DIY Weddings

I'm getting married in two years and my family dosen't have a whole lot of money. I'm starting to save and I'd like some ideas for DIY decoration and ect. The list on here is pretty awesome, but I like ideas that have been done too.

:) Thanks

Also Wedding ideas...

    Hi, welcome.

All of those are good wedding locations.  And all have pros/cons that can play into your budget and decision.

You've got a long time to plan and save and decide what you want to DIY, stick around and you can get lots of good ideas here.  Have you checked out the "DIY" and "Budget Weddings" boards? (over on the left under "Wedding Boards") those ladies have lots of good ideas, lurking there will give you tons of things to try.

    Welcome to the boards!

Like PP said, you have time to do plenty of research.  The best advise I can give is to think outside the box and take advantage of any talented friends you might have.

We were on a small budget as well. But we did a lot of research and came up with different ways of getting what we wanted.

I voted for a beach wedding b/c that was want we did :)

Could you have a church wedding and then a backyard reception? That just might help to maximize space.

As far as wedding sites go, backyard weddings are not always the least expensive.  You should definitely think about rentals and what you will have to rent as far as chairs, tables, etc.  If you have it at someone's house chances are you are going to have to rent all this.

Thank you everyone. Yeah I know I have time, but doing college and planning a wedding takes a lot out of a person. Thank you all for the help.

    :)
