Mallozzi's Reviews Please!

Anyone having their reception at Mallozzi's or been to any weddings there?  Just wondering what you thought of it, or if you had your reception there and have photos that would be great too!

we thought of having our reception there but they were out of our price range so we are going to glen sanders ( which was a shock that they were able to do our wedding for so little ), but my sister has had lots of christmas parties there for her work and she said they were very nice but i will ask her for more details.

Wow, I looked at Glen Sanders online and it looked like their packages were a lot more expensive.  Did you get a better deal than the prices online?

we are having ours in the off season because that just happened to be when we wanted it so yes we got a really good deal.

I just recently went to a wedding at Mallozzi's (and I am also having my wedding at the Italian American -same people). The service was great and the food was the best. I actually wanted to find a manager and tell him how great our server was. I just got the sense that they knew what they were doing and it went seamlessly. Also, a nice perk i didn't know about until after I booked my wedding is that centerpieces are included. So that saved me on flowers right there. Goodluck.

My mom went to a wedding there and said the food was really good, I also have a highschool friend who was looking for venues and she liked Mallozis the best, she said the packages included the most for a great price and she thought it was really great in general. I've never heard anything bad about the place

I've been there for non-wedding events and have nothing bad to say about it. One thing that I have heard from friends of mine to keep in mind is if you have the larger ballroom booked and another party comes in with more people they will bump you to the smaller ballroom. I don't know if this is true, but it's just what I have heard so that may be something to look into if you're thinking of them. Good luck!

I just went to a wedding there last month.  It was great and the food was awesome!  If you are thinking of having the ceremony outside on the terrace I would rethink it.  The wedding we attended was on the terrace and the traffic noise was really bad.  I was thankful the ceremony was only five minutes long.  HTH!

I have been to events at the Italian American Center, which Mallozzi'z caters as PP said. Great food. We considered doing ours at the IAC. Their prices were very reasonable in my eyes. Check out the website.

I agree with pp that the food at Mallozzi's is awesome.  FI and I checked them out for our wedding because their package was pretty reasonable.  We didn't end up choosing them, though, because we weren't crazy about some of the aesthetics.  For example, the ballroom dance floor is pretty old and unattractive, the chairs need chaircovers (extra $) to look presentable, etc.  But if you can deal with those kinds of issues, I'd say go for it. P.S. We ended up getting a better deal at Glen Sanders, too because they offer awesome winter packages.  So if you can do off-season, I'd definitely check them ou!

becks we got the same great deal for a off season wedding ( march ) which were sure with our budget we wouldnt get something as nice as glen sanders but since we didnt want a warm time of year if worked out nicely for us. I cant wait for the wedding now...super excited.

Thanks girls for the reviews.  The package price is great, and since FI and I are paying for the wedding ourselves, Mallozzi's makes sense. I love Glen Sanders, but we really want a August or September wedding, and we want a Saturday, and the prices are just too a little too expensive.  becks711 - definitely agree about the dance floor.  I actually asked them if I could rent a dance floor to put over it!  And I'll definitely need to do chair covers!
