Father of the Groom's military rank mentioned

My fiancee and i WANT TO MENTION HIS PARENTS IN OUR WEDDING INVITATION EVEN THOU MY (BRIDE) PARENTS ARE HOSTING. We are having a military wedding and not only is my fiancee a Major in the USAF but his dad is a General (retired) in the USAF.Should we just mention my fiancee as "SON OF Mr and Mrs....or General and Mrs....?PLEASE ADVISE!  all websites articles related to rank mentioning do so pertaining to parents hosting not parents being mentioned.confused bride.

    We are saying son of ___ even though my parents are hosting it. I think it would be a nice gesture to have his rank since you are having a military wedding.

    I would say yes, include his father's rank. If his father was a Dr. you would say Dr. and Mrs  right?  (At least I think you would!) :)

    I agree with Andra. Since you're having a military wedding, it would be nice to include his fathr's rank.

    You're already mentioning their names, his proper military rank should be listed (unless he would not like it mentioned for some reason).
