Bridesmaid dress colors??? help

last year i saw a picture in the Davids Bridal Spring catalog that had 3 girls wearing 3 different styles and 3 color blue dresses. I loved that idea and im trying to get that for my wedding. But when i go to bridal boutiques and i tell them, they say its not possible to have 3 different colors and it work. I was originally going to go w Alfred Angelo, colors Tealness, Jade, and Seafoam.... do you girls think that works?? Or my other idea was for 1 girl use a different company like After Six and get her dress in Oasis????Am i crazy for trying to make this work?? Is it possible?? I would really appreciate your help. thanks ladies.

    I think it can work well but because it's not 'conventional' it may require a bit more design work on your part to pull the color scheme off.  You can work with programs that you can find at places like David's Bridal or if you have a great vision for design, you can work that out on your own.  I'd stick with a similar color palate so that at least you're working within a theme.

    It is possible and can work great! It is not the bridal boutique's place to tell you that it isn't possible anyway..it is their job to get you guys in the dresses you want. I'd say, "Oh I've seen it work, and it looked amazing." If for some reason that boutique can't do it, or wont because they don't like the idea....go to a different one. =)

    I think the reason you're being told it "won't work" is because you're going through regular boutiques ... where not a lot of the people running them understand that the rules to dressing BMs have changed drastically in the past 20 years.I haven't SEEN your idea, but from what it sounds like, it should be able to work. If you actually go to David's Bridal and work with them, they're actually really helpful with it (At least the one I'm using). I'm doing everybody in the same color, same dress, but I've been in there and seen several other girls do what you're doing and I've never heard them give anybody a hard time about it, in fact they get really excited about getting to mix and match.
