Reception Venue Advice

Hi, does anyone know of any other ceremony/venue places similar to Windows on the River (downtown Cleveland, in the Flats).  It's all inclusive and the views are spectacular.  I like WOTR but I'd just like to compare it to a similar venue.  Thanks!

I was also interested in Windows on the River but my date was already booked so I didn't even go there to look at the venue. We ended up booking the City Club of Cleveland. It doesn't have the views as much but it's pretty inclusive and a nice, affordable location for downtown. I'm not getting married til next July but so far, the experience with the City Club has been great!

Assuming it's still there, Sammy's in the Flats was a cool venue, but small for us. Has the same type of views of the bridges.

Sammy's is similar but when I went there I was disappointed because it was kinda dirty. I've heard amazing things about Windows though! We also looked at the Key Center, very pretty with views.

I second The Club at Key, it also has amazing views.  It isn't huge though... I think it would work well for 100-150.  They say they can hold more but people have to be seated in different rooms though and it would be hard for them to see the dance floor.  There also is a Sammy's in the Huntington building with amazing views.  I actually have an excel file somewhere that compares costs for Sammy's downtown, the Hyatt (Arcade), and Window's on the River.  All are all inclusive.  Windows was the most economical but I was in love with the Old Arcade, so we ended up there.  Union Club may also be something to consider downtown.  I looked into that a little as well.

We're getting married at the Club in July 2010, too! I think they hold up to 175 in the main room.

We were interested in WOTR but did not have a good experience with their staff so we decided not to book with them. That said I know a lot of people have receptions there and are happy!I would check out Sammys in the Flats, similar type of venue and sammy's is awesome to work with! We ended up booking Manakiki (also run by sammys). I love our venue, but it is not downtown which I think is what you want!:)
