marraige license

hi - my rabbi is on vacation until september, so i can't ask him. if i'm getting married in nassau county, can i get my marraige license in manhattan? do you know how far in advance or how long it's good for?thanks!

    never mind, just researched my own question online. for anyone who is wondering... you can get it anywhere in ny state. it costs $40, and you need your birth certificate and drivers license. if you've been married before you need something else, but don't know what, since i haven't been. you need to get it between 60 days and 24 hours prior to the wedding.

    A marriage license is good for 60 days.  Yes you can get the license in Manhattan.  The marriage license office is located on Worth and Centre Street.  If you google ny marriage license you can fill out an online form and save some time at the office.

    I will say that it is a little easier for me to say it and believe it, I am an event planner for a living but it really does boil down to the fact that it is all a party and if you can't enjoy it, then you might as well not do it.
