alterations at David's Bridal

I bought my dress and am having it altered at David's Bridal.  It needs to be hemmed (more accurately, though, I think they will need to bring it up at the wasit so as ot to lose detail at the bottom), and the halter needs to be shortened.  Does anyone who has used DB have a ballpark estimate for how much this will cost?  I am going to the DB in Nashua if that matters.

Thanks so much for all the help this week!  Trying to iron out all the last minute details and finances :)

I was told my alterations would be around $150 at the Nashua store.  This included taking in the straps, bust, and hemline (also to be taken in at the waist -- dress is lace).  I haven't decided if I'm having them do my alterations yet.  There are so many horror stories out there, but I figure that if they screw it up really bad then I might have a better shot at getting a new dress.

I had my alterations done at the DB in Dartmouth MA. The ladies there did a fantastic job. $150 seems a little low for that amount of work, but I wouldn't expect more than $200. My hem was $110 (I think). It would actually be easier for them to bring the skirt  up at the waist. It's a matter of ripping out a few seams and restitching them. The hem involves lots of measuring and ironing. The halter is also pretty quick. The actual price will depend on what they decide to do for alterations and what work they need to do to fix bead work. If there's very little beading to be fixed, it will be cheaper. Beadwork is done by hand, which means it's time consuming and more expensive.

Thanks so much, ladies!  I have a simple chiffon dress...no beads, lace, etc.  It's my last unknown expense, and I want to finalize everything already :)
