Couple of questions (so as to make an educated choice):When are you getting married? In what type of venue are you having your ceremony & reception?Assuming that the white (and not ivory or another color) is the color of your dress, in what color would you put your bridesmaids in each of these scenarios?Any inspiration photos you'd like to share for the more visual people on the board?

We are getting married on February 27, 2010. The ceremony will be held outside with Camelback Mountains in the backdrop. I am keeping the cermemony all white and green. Very fresh, pure, and earthy. I am not sure yet exactly what color my dress will be, I have found one that I love that is ivory, but I still have a few more shops to go to before I make my final decision. My bouquet is all white and green as is my MOH's. The reception will be held in a ballroom. If I remember correctly I think the walls have a goldish damask fabric on them. I only have an MOH in my bridal party, which she would either be wearing a chocolate brown or black dress.I am thinking that it will be a modern wedding with some vintage flare. Thanks for the help. :-)

All of those color combos are beautiful, but after hearing more about your ceremony/reception, I'd definitely incorporate the chocolate brown somehow. I think it would go beautifully with the mountain backdrop & if your reception has gold damask, I think chocolate brown is better suited for that too. As for light v. hot pink, I guess it's how bright you want to go. If you have apple green, I tend to associate that more with brighter colors so I'd go with the hot pink. If your apple green hue is not that bright & is muted, then adding a subtle pink would be very natural & pretty with the other colors. In that scenario maybe adding a hot pink might be too much of a shocker. Pretty choices though! :o)

I think I like either of the chocolate color schemes, given that you used the word "Earthy" and that the ceremony will be against the backdrop of the mountains. And the goldish walls in the ballroom. It all sounds lovely. As far as the white/ivory dealio, if your dress is ivory, you could replace the white in the color scheme with ivory as well. But it's only a suggestion - I'm admittedly anal and since my dress was white, there was to be no ivory in our color scheme. Had my dress been ivory - and it almost was - there would have been NO white in it. But like I said, I'm weird like that. :)

Thanks for the help! I know it will all come together somehow. :-D I have leaning more towards the chocolate brown, but it is  a hard color patter to match because most wedding stuff is black and white.

    Like what wedding stuff?

Just the detail stuff I guess. I see a lot of black and white things in the stores, especially the invitations. Our venue comes with black and white linens, if we want any other colors then we'd have to buy or rent. I was initially going with the chocolate brown since it gave a very warm, inviting, and intimate feeling. I've seen in pictures chocolate brown overlays, white chair covers (or ivory depending on the dress), and chocolate brown sashes. I think that I will stick to my original plan, thanks to everyones help, and do a light pink. :-)
