so about the tremont. i was probably going to end up spending that much money whether i had it there or not. if i went with somewhere else like the visionary art museum or the evergreen house that i loved but that were like blank canvases, i know i would have gone crazy spending money and focusing on every single little detail including like draping fabrics on the ceilings and walls, the linen and china/silverware/stemware, and the catering. i absolutely loved how the rooms looked that i picked and knew i didn't need to do much past that and they included pretty linens and china and such and was hoping that the food would be as good as i thought. they bargained a tiny bit- i added on another hotel room, got one upgraded appetizer, switched out the wine they had for another kind, switched out bud to get yuengling, and waived the fee for the ceremony because they had never said anything about it before i booked. i was really happy with it, and to me it was worth it because as i said, i probably would have ended up spending that amount elsewhere and it was what i wanted. i also had the money to spend, which was a very generous gift from my father, so i don't know if i would have done it if i had to pay for it myself. one of the cinchers of us booking the tremont was that it was so convenient, since all but like 20 of our guests were going to be staying in the hotel, and it was great for people to get to know baltimore. it was definitely worth it to me, but do what's best for you! i hope that helps!!

Yeah, I agree that really any room you choose there doesn't need much decorating, which is a major plus. And their chairs are awesome- pretty and comfortable, so that works! My mom and I love it! Dad likes it, but it's the only place he's been to look at with mom and I. It is a little pricey, but I guess we'll just have to talk to them and see what they say. The first time we went and talked with Deliah she said that prices were pretty negotiable (depending on what you package includes) as long as you hit the minimum spending fee required for whatever rooms you choose. So I guess we'll see. How was the Chairman's suite!?!?!?! When we did our tour she took us in one of every type of suite... my parents are already scheming about an after party with their friends in the big suite haha. But yes we absolutely love it there... and I think you're right, it's not really much more expensive than other places in Baltimore once you figure in decorating and such. I have my heart set on a wedding in the downtown area, but my mom and FI are putting up a fit because we live in the county and could do a lot more with the money we spend (or spend less) out here... I don't know why I'm just really attached to a city wedding! But I'm glad to hear you had such a great experience... maybe it will help sway my mom even more :) Like I said, we got a really good feeling from the place and from Deliah the last time we were there.
