Oh no!

So I am doing DYI invitations but I bought all of the stuff in a kit, so I can't buy certain things individually. I had everything set up and typed and spelt the way I wanted it, I wasn't feeling well and my friend asked me if she wanted me to print them while I went to the restroom, I said yes. ALL of them are printed but she changed the spelling for one of the words because she didnt like the way I did it AND she changed my last name from my maiden name to what my married name will be. I ... don't even know what to do right now.

If it were just the one word, I'd say forget about it.  My menus all had a small error but my mom and I had spent hours upon hours upon hours on them already so I said screw it, but your last name should definitely not be your married name yet.I would probably tell my friend that she needs to buy me a new kit.  She asked if you wanted her to PRINT them, not go in and change them.Sorry about this.  Having been a bride already, I can totally empathize and my tummy hurts for you lol.  I would have been soooooo mad.GL!

I confronted her but she said she didn't change anything, but I KNOW that everything was correct because I have the document saved. I just don't feel like I can make her confess you know? What do you do when they tell you they didn't do anything. I am not a very confrontational person either and...I feel like I shouldn't make a big deal. I lost 2 people very close to me this year and I think really? I am going to get upset about this when there are more important things in life...but it DOES bother me. Stupid right?

Oh no! That is terrible! I'd be so upset right now too. I know you can't buy individual parts, but can you improvise and design a different inviation? Like, instead of that printed page, use a plain one and stamp it? You could post on the DIY website with pictures of your invitation set and see if they have any ideas.Good luck!

kasarin-good idea. I think I would go to the paper store and get some beautiful paper and just re print the invitation portion. Would be less trouble than having to buy all new kits. so sorry to hear about your losses IfferMarie, thoughts are with you. I am sure your day wi be beautiful!!

I don't know if I will be able to find a replica. The invitation sheat matches the design and color of the set exactly. It's an invitation that turns into an envelope. So I won't be putting anything in an envelope, because it is a part of the envelope. Does that make sense?

Can you post pictures?  You probably have more options than you realize for changing things out.
