Tux/Suits?

Hi girls - just wondering where everyone went to for groom and groomsmen attire.......We;re really late on getting this taken care of and I just need a few ideas on rental place reviews. Also, FI is looking at maybe a suit rather than a tux, but he hasn't tried either one on so we're keeping both in mind for options. TIA! ~Katrina

    Hey Katrina! FI decided on Men's Warehouse for tux rentals, primarily because we had a great coupon that said if you have more than 5 GM the groom gets his tux free, plus $20 off each GM.  Both Men's Warehouse AND Al's Formal Wear send out those kinds of coupons pretty regularly.  If you go to wedding conventions they also hand out lots of coupons.

    Tux's are expensive.  Our GM's are paying more for them than our BM's paid to own their BM dress.  I'm still kinda bitter about that... My fiance ultimately choose Men's Warehouse.  They were sllightly cheaper than Al's formal wear.  However, you can also try Rex's and Debi's Bridal.  I believe they are even cheaper.

    We're renting tuxes from Heights Tuxedo in Alamo Heights.  Their prices are better than the chain stores and their customer service is great.  The owner comes to your rehearsal and has all the guys try on the tuxes to make sure they fit correctly and don't need any last minute changes or alterations.  You can also leave all of the tuxes at your hotel for him to pick up the day after the wedding so the guys don't have to run around town returning tuxes.

    We had a great experience with Men's Warehouse.  But they ARE expensive!

    Thanks girls for the responses! FI has checked on Mens Warehouse and Tuxedo Junction (in North Star Mall) but hasn't given me any real feed back yet. I'll have him check out the place in Alamo Heights this week too. Thank you so much again for your input! ~Katrina

    My FI is actually going with the suit option because he wants to use it again. At first he thought about a tux but then changed his mind. It just depends on what your FI's taste is :)
