Cultural Gardens

Anyone have pics of these (preferably from a wedding) or know of anyone who's gotten married here?

just be careful because even though a wedding party is much bigger, an engagement shoot was done there a few months ago and the couple was robbed as well as the photographer of all his equipment. so just be aware! beautiful, but not in the best area, apparently :(

I don't think it's in a bad area as long as you are being smart about the time. I grew up in BFE where the crime rate is basically zero.. but my parents did get robbed once.. Something will happen to someone at some point but that doesn't mean it's a bad area. I think that made sense. I've had 2 hours of sleep..

Also, teacher_jenny just got married there. I'm sure she will post pictures when she gets back from HM and out of "yay! I'm married" mode.

We did our pics at the Hungarian Garden 1-2 weeks after that photographer got robbed, didn't think anything of it.  I'd hate to think that people would be wary of the gardens after 1 bad experience.  It could have happened anywhere.

I got married there a few weeks ago!  There are some things you should know...It rained the entire day so all of my pics were in the rain (PIB) so it doesn't really do the gardens justice!  During the day they are beautiful!!!  It is very affordable ($175)  However, by the time you rent chairs for the space it's closer to $500 total.  We only rented about 100 chairs, nobody even sat in them!!! UGH!  I agree that it is not in the best of neighborhoods, but I felt safe everytime I went there (especially in the day time)  I suggest you visit them yourself.  Personally I like the Hungarian and Italian gardens the best.  Also, they didn't start tending to the garden until late July.  They planted flowers and got the fountain up and running.  Feel free to page me if you need to know more!
