Flower Help

So I really fell in love with the white anemone flowers. I have already purchased silk ones to be used for boutonnieres and corsages. I started calling florists to schedule appts and see about consultations for my bridal bouquet. Of course, they are telling me those flowers aren't available in January! Here's my question, do you think it would look stupid if I used the anemone flowers for the boutonnieres and corsages but had no coordinating anemones in the bouquets? Am I overthinking this, haha?

I know, I was shocked when two places already told me they couldn't get them! I guess I can keep calling around...

Shirley's was one of the places that said NO. I would really like to stick with a florist in St. Aug but will definitely call Josie if I have to.

The first 2 florists I met w/said that it was borderline season for them and it MIGHT be a problem. Give them a call. They were also the cheapest quote I was given so far and Josie has been fantastic! Also, according to her bio J&KgRiFF is also using them in her flowers and I believe her wedding is around the same time as yours. To answer your original question...no, I don't think it will look stupid. BUT...this is your bridal bouquet. You only get one. Don't give up yet! :)

Actually...she just has them as an inspiration photo. I'm not sure if she's actually using them. GL!

I wonder, if they are not able to get them in, if you could have them shipped in from someone who CAN get them. Or use silk anemones. Not ideal, but mixed in with real, they'd be impossible to tell.

Yes I am using them. My bridesmaid bouquets will be all light pink anemones. My florist is Bill Wilson and he said no problem on getting them. So I would call a couple more places. let me know if you want his number he is really great.

im meeting with my florist tomorrow, so Im going to check again because you sort of are making me nervous. he told me he could get them so he better be able to. but ill ask him and get back to you tomorrow. but if you honestly mixed silk ones in with your real flowers you would never know. they had to do that with my sisters with peonies because last minute they couldnt get it and no one ever could tell.

Anemone can be fussy. Some floral wholesalers can't really guarantee them, so a florist might then not be able to give a 100% guarantee. Some can. I ordered some from an online florist and they came in beautiful, because my wholesalers said they couldn't guarantee them. It is a fragile flower and sometimes things just don't work out with them. Ask your florist if they have some good silk one in the backroom. If a florist does great silks, then they should have some or they can order them from their wholesaler. They would be a better quality than you can get local. But the better ones are pricey. Also, think about a substitute, just in case the anemone don't come great. Weather also makes a difference in the country that flowers are grone. Some years different flowers are harder to find. Too much rain, too little, etc.
