Speaking of Bently and Wilson (2 hour strip tour)

Has anyone just done the 2 hour strip tour?  My budget *might* allow for more but for now we've booked the strip tour/first look before the ceremony (11-1 since it's a sat and that's the only time they will do just a strip tour.  It works out ok for our ceremony time etc anyway).  I'm loving all the night time/sunset pics I see and I'm bummed I won't get those. But we're doing the strip tour on the DDB that evening so maybe some of my amatuer friends/family will get some good ones at night...

Anyway, just curious if anyone else has (plans to) opt for simply the 2 hour strip tour.  If you only had two hours with the photographer which stops would you want to hit?  I'm thinking LV sign and the bellagio fountains (where FI proposed).  I know we won't have a whole lot of time.

  • I would have but I got told that he had a 4 hour minimum on Fri-Sun.  We're doing day after photos since he is booked on my wedding day.  :(
  • I'm doing the strip tour from 7 to 9 pm but our wedding is on a Mon. I wanted day and night photos. We will be staying near Bellagio so def. there but not sure where else? I kind of want to do Freemont but not sure if we would have time.
  • what time of the year are you doing this? Summer's starting early this year (to make up for the late start last year) so you might need to account for the heat

  • Next April 20th :)  Yes, when we first picked the date it seemed the weather would be warm but not crazy...this year it seemed to get hot fast.  Here's hoping next year it's nice!

Right now we're booked for just the 2 hour strip tour (Wednesday wedding), starting an hour before sunset so we get day and night. He said he'll let us add more time later if we decide to do 4 hours instead (once we get final decisions made on reception and such). Anyway, I really want the sign and Freemont street, anything else is gravy, so whatever we have time for.

  • I am doing it on a thursday night and am planning to stay around the Caesar's, Bellagio and Cosmopolitan area. 2 Hours should work in that area... .It just depends on where you want to go!

  • Thought this might help - it shows the sunset times by day:

Most photographers like the hour before sunset for optimum pics. :)

We did the 2 hour tour and it was amazing!  We did not feel rushed at all and had SO many pictures taken.  Todd was our photographer and he was so helpful, professional and fun!  He had great ideas for photos.  We couldn't have asked for more.  You won't be disappointed with the two-hour package.  In fact, one of our wedding pictures is posted on his "gallery" on the website.  We are the couple in front of the Bellagio on the very first slide.
