Colors/Theme Help

Hi all! My first post on the knot. I have only been engaged a few weeks but I am trying to at least get an idea of my "style" . Yellow is my favorite color and I am very very LOW maintenance. I do not like lace, flowers, or a lot of frill. I would like to incorporate yellow but being in Pittsburgh, I don't want it to look like a Steelers/Sports "theme." Both my fiance & I are huge sports fans, I just don't want it to look cheesy.

Any suggestions? My mom suggested a lighter yellow paired with gray for my colors ... would that be good for a Spring -time wedding?

Any suggestions are taken.

Hello, welcome and congrats! I love the yellow/gray theme. Have you thought about doing more of a gold instead of yellow?

Hi and congrats!

I had a very difficult time choosing colors, but them "Google Imaged" the term "wedding color combos". I'm sure that adding in "yellow" will yield you a lot of options, too. I found a lot of combos and inspiration pictures other women had already pieced together. After looking at many things, I began to realize what I really wanted (I didn't have a clue prior). It's a little trial and error, but you'll eventually realize there is a pattern of combos and patterns that you're drawing to.

Hello and congrats! I was going to suggest yellow and gray as soon as you mentioned yellow is your favorite color. I think that would be a lovely scheme for a spring wedding.

It's only going to look like a sports theme if you pair yellow and black :P

If your worried about a spring theme and the gray look and yellow and green or yellow and blue, def not sports colors for pittsburgh.
