Hopefully a local can help me

FI and I live down in Mass, but are looking for an old barn and/or farmhouse, that we could have the reception and ceremony at, pretty much anywhere in NH. Any suggestions? I can't find much googling.

Hey luvoo41488!My FI and I live in MA too. We are getting married and having our reception at Whitney's Inn in Jackson, NH (this October). It is an Inn/B&B that used to be a farm house and is now decorated with a really nice rustic "log cabin" theme. The grounds are beautiful and it is located at the base of Black Mountain. We are getting married outside on the grounds, but they have options for an indoor ceremony. The reception is being held at the Shovel Handle Pub which is the barn next to the inn (operated by the same people). It was built in the mid 1800's lots of dark beams, huge beautiful window, with a unique set up. The food is hearty new england homestyle fare. The owners and inn keeper have been nothing but helpful and accomodating. I highly recommend them!

This isn't exactly in NH, but I thought I'd but in.  My dad and my brother recently played golf at the Links at Outlook in Berwick, ME and my dad said it was beautiful.  They have this awesome barn that just looks fabulous.  I would have loved to consider it, but it was out of our price range.  If you go to their website the menus are on it as well as pictures.  Hope that helps!

Not in NH but right on the border in Newburyport is Maudslay State Park. There is a old barn that is rented out for receptions on the property. Here is the link: http://www.maudslayartscenter.org/functions/ You bring in your own vendors, but I do believe they have a list of recommended vendors that know the facility.

I believe Stonewall Farm is an option for you, it is located in Keene.  http://www.stonewallfarm.org/rentals.html
