Ceremony Venues

Hi Ladies! I'm new to the site. We desperately want to get married next Halloween, normally it wouldn't be a huge deal, but I'm Catholic and its a Sunday. So no church wedding here. We're on a super tight budget, I'm talking half a shoestring and I'm searching for a ceremony cite. My first choice was the Amasa Stone Chapel , but its really pricey. Does anyone have any neat ideas? or inexpensive ones? I was hoping for in or VERY close to downtown. Thanks!!!! Katie

How many guests? What do you consider 'really pricey'?For a small wedding, the Grand Pacific Chapel in Olmsted Falls is nice. $1k for a ceremony there, IIRC. Not super close to downtown though. Where will your reception be?

It seems like my view of pricey is skewed. I didn't realize i was going to be paying around a grand for the ceremony cite. The chapel I was looking at is around the same price. We're trying to keep the guest list at or under 150. Like I said I am a complete and utter newb to this and all of 2 days into planning. So any advice is greatly appreciated

We're looking at a few restaurants in the flats for the reception.

Feel free to email me at angela.wish@gmail.com my SIL is planning a downtown reception and we did an extensive church search that is not cutting and pasting at all on here…I have a laundry list of non –catholic locations within 30 minutes of downtown if interested.

FWIW, I was married in a church, not Catholic though -- United Methodist. Pleasant Hills United Methodist marries nonmembers, but is located in Middleburg Hts. Cost: $350. Not all sites cost $1k, but the chapels and similar places that are more unique likely do cost more, especially near downtown. Good luck!
