BridesMAN???

I have a guy best friend since college, who I want to include in my wedding party...and no, we never dated! He is like a brother to me and dating a brother sounds pretty gross (haha).  Anyway, I don't want to left him out of my wedding.  In fact, he asked me if he can just be the usher but I have my junior groomsmen to do those tasks.  Could you, would you, have a bridesman in your wedding?

    I would do it. As long as FI is cool with it, who cares what anyone else thinks? It's becoming more common these days.

    I have one. He will be standing on my side in the same attire as my groomsmen.

    I would. I dont have any close girlfiends other than one of my cousins. I would have all my "bridesmaids" guys if my fiance didnt think it was werid.

    I will admit that my FI thought it would be strange (his big thing was "it wasn't traditional, what would other people think?").  But we talked about it, and ultimately the decision came down to us supporting each other. I supported that he wanted friends of his that I am not huge fans of, and he supported my decision to include my bridesman.

    I asked one of our Groomsmen which side he wanted to stand on. He chose to be traditional, but I would have been okay if he wanted to stand with me instead. We've been friends since Junior High.

    I have three bridesmen!  They will all stand on my side (with 6 other ladies) in suits that match the groomsmen, but with a different bout.  They have all been dear friends for longer than most of the girls, so there was no way I was going to exclude them.  I say do it!
