I mailed out our invitations today! I am so excited and relieved that they are finally out of my house! I know it's a bit early, but I'm having a B list since there are so many people we want to invite but just couldn't. :(Now here's where I need your help and you can tell me if you think i've gone bonkers......(I also posted this on the oct board, but i'd like you're opinions too)I am having a Halloween wedding. I have no idea what I want for a centerpiece. Would you guys think I was nuts if I had this on the table? [IMG]http://tinyurl.com/qc7edr[/IMG] I would use the black one. He would most likely be sitting on a white table cloth w/ 4 votives around him.  He would also have a red, or ivory ribbon around his neck w/ a numbered "tag" on it as the table marker.   In my head I'm thinking it would be "fun" and "unique" but I was just wanting to run the idea past you guys and see how you would react. I'm just about to give up on this centerpiece thing. I can't find anything I really like that is simple. Easy. is inexpensive and looks nice.

    I don't really like it that much, I think since it's a bottle of wine people would also wonder if it was a centerpiece or a favor. Why don't we all throw out some ideas for you and see if we can help you come up with a centerpiece you love?

    All of these items are from the Dollar Tree: You could buy a tall cylinder vase, put a bright gerbera daisy in it (to match your colors) then fill the rest with black river rock.

    I agree w/Brit. You could cut off the top of a small pumpkin and fill it w/flowers. OR you could cut the top off of it and fill it w/water and floating candles. Let me see if I can find a few pics. BRB!

    i love it! im actually collecting green, clear and blue vintage vases, mason jars, and blue wine bottles. i saw those at world market and was planning on using some of the blue ones! i think it would be better if you drank the wine first, and had empty bottles. then you could also put a candle in the top if you wanted, and it wouldn't be mistaken for wine for guests. i think the black ones are awesome for halloween!

    I really like the pumpkin idea. You could use ceramic pumpkins instead of real ones to keep it from being messy.

    If you want to use the cats than I like Shelly's idea. It'a a cute concept for a halloween wedding...I'm just thinking it might not be substantial enough for a centerpiece. Play around w/it.

    If you drink the wine first you could turn the bottle into a candle. They make stoppers with wicks you put in the top. You would put lamp oil in the bottle and light the wick. Of course, it would be an open flame so you'd have to make sure that your venue is okay with it. You could put little pumpkins or fall leaves around it on the table.     I like the pumpkin idea with some fresh Fall flowers too. It is fun and playful, but still says reception, rather than Halloween party.

    Would there be a sign telling them to drink the wine? I do think there should be a little bit more to mix it up on the table. If they're not supposed to drink it, use it as a vase, and scatter little pumpkins around. Something like that. Lots of great suggestions above!

    Hey ladies-  Yes, the wine would be for the guests consumption. Sorry I forgot to add that.  It would be chilled and then brought out for the guests when they arrive at the reception.  We can't have open flames at our venue either :(As for the pumpkin idea, they are cute, but I'm not really into it.    We might do the glass w/ fall colored rocks. Thanks for your input ladies!

    Well, if they're drinking the wine then I change my mind. Do that and the votives like you said. Maybe do the rocks too. It will be cute.
