okay so i've been reading store reviews on here and i need some helpi'm registered at 4 places williams sonoma dillards bed bath beyond and target..but now i'm worriedi've been reading reviews that bbb doesn't always have in the store what you registered for online and that it can create tension for everyone involved. yikes i don't want that.also i know target has a shoddy return service so i'm trying to not over load that registry with other things than just basics home decor items and shower curtains towels etc. all this being said i think i should either drop the BBB registry and go elsewhere.Thing is I don't know where to go. Macys is out because there isn't a store close by most the stuff at Penney's I'm not crazy about. I really just wanted the pots and pans and gadgets at BBB. But I don't want my guests to get there and them not have anything *several of them are elderly and won't shop online* and I'm scared of loading up the Target registry incase I get double items that I can't return without a receipt.Any ideas?has anyone registered at Kohlsthanks

    Honestly, I would drop Target and stick with BBB. Target has a terrible registry reputation (read through some of the older threads and I'm sure you will come accross some posts about it) and BBB really is pretty good. Any registry can have it's glitches here and there, bu Target seems to be by far the most notorious. (Disclaimer, I have a BBB registry and am quite happy with it).

    I really didn't have as many problems with target as everyone else did, so I can't say much there. And BBB was very accomodating. I had some friends register at Kohls though and they really liked it. They really recommended it to me. And Kohls usually has good sales.  Another department store is Younkers/Herbergers (part of the Bon-Ton chain).

    I worked at BBB for about a year, and the registry system is really the best thing about that store.  If a guest is looking for an item that isn't in stock, the customer service person will order it for no extra fee.  They'll only have to pay for shipping if they have it delivered to a home instea of to the store. In addition, anything that is purchased for you, even if it's not on your registry, can be returned for cash.  At least that was the policy a couple years ago. BBB sucked to work for, but they definitely got the registry business down pat.
