Hey Has anyone ever had or are they having their wedding at the Mansion house at the Maryland Zoo?

    I'm trying to remember who told me they had a friend do their wedding there - I don't know if it was someone from here or that I know in real life, haha.  I'll see if I can find out though

    I went to a wedding there in the summer. The building does not have air conditioning and the wedding was extremly H-O-T because of this. They had giant fans that everyone gathered around. Everyone was sweating and uncomfortable. It was tough on the older guests. However, if the wedding had been during the fall or spring it would have been very nice... The terrible heat is what I remember from the day.

    I looked into Mansion house and decided against it because of the AC. It really depends when you plan on getting married but honestly, if you have guests who will be dancing all night, you'd probably want access to AC during any month. It is really a nice and different venue so if you want it, go for it!

    I didn't go to a wedding there, but I have been to a bat mitzvah. While it is a cool idea to have an event at the zoo, the mansion's layout is very awkward and makes it hard for everyone to interact and see what is going on. The event I went to was in November so AC was not an issue.
