Ahhhhhh I am so excited.  My FI finally booked our honeymoon.  We are spending 6 nights in Costa Rica :)He had been slacking on researching for places to go so I just gave in and did it for him.  I sent him a couple of quotes and he finally picked!!So happy right now :)

    I used www.vacationscostarica.comto plan everything but flight.  I am going to stay in Kioro Suites and Spa and Arenas del Mar Beach and Nature Resort.

    When booking honeymoons, what part do you book? Do you pay for it in it's entirety? Just deposit, etc? Sometimes we try to plan real early and I'm wondering how early is early

    So fun!! I've never been but my brother went on a surfing trip to CR and had the best time ever. His pics were amazing, you're going to have a fabuous time!!

    It depends on what you are doing and when.  January is high season for CR so you should book early.  As for a deposit it also depends on what you are doing.  We have to place 50% for this package but some hotels may want up front while others don't charge you until you leave.

    great check! i am a Costa Rica HM'er also. we haven't booked yet because, it's FI's task.  I've thought about doing it for him too lol.

    Spirit has a direct into Costa Rice from FLL :) You can porbably get wicked deals, but just becareful - Spirit likes to REALLY oversell their flights.

    Thanks Tess.  I just booked my flight on American out of MIA.  I had been looking for a while for cheap direct flights for the specific times I needed.  I couldn't find anything.  The second my FI said he was booking the rest of the trip I looked for flights again and it was like the planets aligned and there was exactly what I was looking for.  I booked it right away!  The whole trip is booked!  I am just beaming right now.
