Gold chargers

Is anyone using gold chargers at the reception?  I checked with my rental place and it's going to be like $2.50/plate to rent them.  Before I completely nix this idea, I wanted to see if anyone else out there was using them and maybe wanted to go in together to purchase some if we can find a good price on them.  I heard Hobby Lobby carries them.  I will probably need around 130 of them.

    I was looking for god chargers but I couldn't find any in our price range. We nixed the idea and used the money in another area. Sorry :(

    There was a girl from NYC on the Hudson Valley NY Board that had a lot of them for sale. I think the post was only a few days ago. $2.50 seems expensive, you can buy them for that! We almost bought them when Linen's and Things was going out of business, and I am sort of sorry I didn't, but I think my coordinator rents them for cheap if we decide (and have money left).

    I bought silver chargers (they had gold too) from Hobby Lobby for $1.99 each.

    I am looking to use gold chargers, too.  My wedding is March 2010.  I'd need about the same number as you.  I'd be happy to go halfies or buy then from you (I think your date is before mine).

    Gator D, my wedding is in 6 weeks!!  October 3, 2009.   I think that might be a great idea.  Let me work the numbers and do some research on pricing to see if we can work it out.  I think the cheapest I've seen is $1.99.  Any other girls wanting to go in with us to make it even cheaper?  If we go three ways, it will be around 70 cents a piece!!  I live in Tallahassee, but my wedding is in Jacksonville.

    GatorD - I just saw that you and your man are attorneys, too!!  Jason and I both graduated from FSU Law about 4 years ago and we met in law school, too!  How cool!  Best of luck on the Bar Exam.  I know you should be getting results in just a few weeks.  Aren't you glad to have a wedding to distract you?  I just took the Bar for the first time last year (long story) and passed, thank goodness!!

    Awesome! I know our Michael's sells them.  I can investigate how much they are.  My wedding is in Gainesville.Congrats on passing! We find out exactly a month from today.  It seems like the longest wait ever, but wedding stuff has been a fun distraction.
