STD question

Do we have to put the location on the STD? We need to get them out, but still haven't actually picked a location and DF thinks we can just tell people later or they'll see it on the invitations.  My feeling is that we have to wait until we pick a place be cause it has to go on the STDs.  Thoughts?

    You should probably wait - what if the place/location/planner, etc isnt available on the specific date? (that happened to me, I had to change to a friday. Luckily I didnt send out Save the Dates yet)

    Yeah I would definitely wait until you've selected a location also.  Are you guys close to narrowing it down.

    I'd wait too.  The point of doing STD's for a DW is so your guests can start saving in advance and looking for travel deals.  They can't look for a good deal if they don't know where they're going.  Plus, like a pp said, if you fall in love with a certain location but your date isn't open, you might end up changing the date.  And then you'd have to send out a whole new round of STD's.

    Thanks Ladies! Cindy - we're down to 3 or 4 countries (yeah, countries!) right now, but I'm hoping to have a place booked within the next few weeks.  I'm totally freaking out about it too...
