Hi ladies, this will probably be a post-n-run...at the library on the computer, and with the bum foot I can't sit too long. But I had to share: FI & I decided since we are doing an Old Hollywood theme, we'd like to do vintage style engagement photos. Vintage dress, black & white pics. My grandfather did a lot of photography and I have several photos that have given us ideas. My family owned a building in my neighborhood years ago--the family business (men's clothing) was on the first floor, the family lived on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The building is now a restaurant. FI & I stopped in today to talk to the owner about possibly letting us shoot the photos in the area where my family used to live. I took along one of my grandfather's photo albums so he could see what the rooms looked like years ago. He was so nice, said we can absolutely do photos there, and was thrilled to see the pics, asked if I can get him copies of any relating to the building. He also let us go walk around the upper rooms. Much of the original woodwork there, including a bar and 2 fireplaces. We are just thrilled. My engagement ring is my grandmother's, so we just think it'll be great to tie it all in. I am not telling my dad--I want to surprise him and see how long it takes for him to realize where the photos were taken.Sorry it's long, I was just super stoked. Hope all you ladies are well and to check in again soon.
