Venue near the airport

Most of my guests will be flying in from out of town. I don't want anyone to feel like they have to rent a car after paying for a plane ticket. Anyone have a favorite venue for a ceremony a reception with an indoor and outdoor area that would be accessible for everyone? I thought Edgefield would be good, but any other ideas? Ideally I'd like to find a hotel near the airport with free shuttle service for when people first get into town. Then a venue that is close to the hotel so I can rent a shuttle to transport everyone to and from the wedding.

    If you want to be really close to the airport, you should check sites along the Columbia River, and hotels near Jantzen Beach.  Edgefield and Downtown Portland are both within 20 minutes of the airport, so it's really not a huge deal for people to get to either one when they arrive.  So if you don't find something near the airport, they'll survive. :)

    Personally, I did not enjoy Edgefield but it is in a good location. We are getting married at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club. It is on Marine Drive. It has an indoor and outoor area accessible to everyone. You should check it out. Decent prices too.

    We just got married at CECC...it was an okay experience. Actually, the day of was good but the before (dealing with the main contact there) was a bit of a pain. But he had just started when we were about 3 months out...so that mgiht have had something to do with it. Anyways, many of our guests stayed at the north Harbour Marriott's (contact Tara Blair)...and they do airport pick ups, and they shuttled our guests to and fron the venue at pre selected times, and brought them back to the airport. There are a few (like 3 - subway, pizza, coffee house) restaurants in the hotel area. So if people are really coming for a quick weekend, it would be good. Hope this helps!

    I was once at a wedding at the Sheraton hotel right there on airport way.  It was very nice.
