***jkouvel***

Hi. I saw that you used Orlando Entertainment and gave them a great review. I wanted to ask if you chose all of you songs for the reception or did you let him do his own thing?

sorry it took so long for me to respond! i just moved into DH's so i've been crazy busy trying to get myself situated. we only picked like 5 must plays in each of the different areas he broke it down by (slow songs, dance songs, dinner), maybe like 10 may plays in the dance songs and like another 3 in the may play for slow, and another 5 or so for dinner. we put a whole lot of do not play though- mostly genres and artists we didn't want played. when we met with him, we went through what we had written down and he asked us questions about bands/singers/genres we liked and didn't like and if we wanted him to accept requests as long as they weren't do not plays. he went through someone else's playlist for dinner for us because he felt we wanted similar to them, and we agreed. so basically, we let him do his own thing. i was nervous because DH and i are really picky about our music, but DH really didn't want to know every single song that was played. it was kind of nice to not know, and to let people request a song or two! hth! i think if you're stuck, once you do your meeting with him 2 weeks before the wedding, you'll get the feeling he understands what you want!
