Negotiate Site Fee for Wineries?

Hi everyone! I am probably going to get married in Sonoma Valley, California, and I was wondering how appropriate or inappropriate it was to try to negotiate the site fee? Thanks!

I think the site fee is pretty set. However little things like - guest minimums etc could probably be negotiated.

Usually the only time you can get a break on the site fee is when you book early and get the previous years pricing or book in short notice and get a date they couldn't fill... or get married in the off season like February, when most wineries aren't open to weddings (unless they have indoor facilities). Another possibility is a weekday wedding. So you're probably not going to get any breaks if you're planning on getting married on a Saturday in Aug/Sept/Oct.

I dont know of any wineries that are willing to negotiate site fees.  In all honesty the wineries are pretty popular and know that someone is willing to pay their price.

I negotiated mine- not that much but it was still a decent discount!  I guess it doesn't hurt to ask :)

How did you negotiate your site fee?
