We spent $2500 with airfare. We are going to Couples Tower Isles in Jamaica. Everything is included, but we might do 1 more tour while we are there. We will be there for 6 days.

This is a very subjective question. It will vary based on where you go, for how long, what is included, etc. You should plan to spend what you can comfortably afford. We had a smaller wedding so we could have a nicer HM. In the end we spent about $8K.
We spent 6k. We are going to Kona Village in Hawaii on the big island. We used miles for air. Kona is psuedo all inclusive with all meals and luau's!GL!!
We used airmiles for our airfare to our wedding destination (which is in Hawai'i, so comparable to a HM), are paying 300 per night for our 2 bedroom condo, spent about 900$ on a car for almost 3 weeks... then you add in cost of living and playing and I'd say we're at about 6000-8000$ (for 2 weeks).
This is very subjective. I spent over $16k. But I stayed at a 5 star lodge in South Africa, then up to Amsterdam and Paris. Airfare alone cost $4k. From what I've seen on this board most people seem to spend between $3-5k.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
we are spending just over $5k for airfare and 7 days to Sandals Grande in St Lucia. We wanted to do a super nice room so we splurged on that piece of it. Its all-inclusive.
$5,000 - 14 Night HM in Hawaii (2 islands). This includes airfare from Buffalo, NY, hotel/condo, car rental and inter-island flights. We expect to spend another $2,000 on excursions, food and drinks! It's not the most expensive HM, but it's not cheap for us either. It is a splurge - we will never be able to do this again!
We didn't skimp on anything on our honeymoon and ended up spending about $3500. This seemed like a ton of money to us, but it sounds like it's on the mid/lower end of things for most brides. We spent 7 nights in St. Martin, btw. We stayed in the nicest hotel on the French side of the island, rented a car and ate amazing meals every day. It was the low season, though, so that helped us (the hotel was half the price and we got the 7th night free).
Our HM is costing a little over $14k...but that's for 12 nights in Fiji at an all-inclusive (the only thing we'll be spending money on down there is the spa and souveneirs) with a private beach and private infinity edge pool on a cliff )...airfare and insurance are both included in that price also. It really depends on where you go, what time of year u go..and how close to the HM you book. Airfare goes up and down every single day.

we spent over $6k at sandals st. lucia and i now feel a bit ripped off. St. Lucia was my first time out of teh country so i had nothing to compare it to in terms of pricing etc. we just got back form costa rica for 10 days - stayed at 3 hotels, ate amazing food, did awesome excursions all for $4k. The $6k at Sandals ONLY covered airfare, hotel, and room - but excursions etc. were additional.
Probably somewhere around $14k for our wedding ceremony (we're eloping)/honeymoon in Fiji. This includes airfare, transfers, 12 nights at two different 5 star resorts, meals. Haven't booked yet because that number freaks me out a little, but we're doing a simple at home reception afterwards so we're spending less than a traditional Chicago wedding and a honeymoon would cost us.
Thank you all so much for your input! We have a lot ot think about and research! I am hoping to stay in a budget of $5000 - one week minimum - something all inclusive and gorgeous!
Have you thought about doing a cruise? I'm looking into a Mediterranean cruise that is for 12 days and will only be about $3,500 including airfair. All meals are included and the only things you have to pay for are booze/excursions/souvenirs. Now a days cruises go EVERYWHERE! Just a suggestion if you're looking to stay on budget!
