Recs for an inexpensive DJ

Hi Girls,I am in need of recs for an inexpensive DJ. FI and I have decided to have a live Irish band at our wedding but in addition we were looking to book a DJ to work it too so we can have music for the non-Irish guests as well as be able to have our must play songs at the wedding. After a weekend of stress over the budget we decided the only possible way to have both would be to find a DJ that is like $600 or less - are we crazy? Do you know of anyone?

We're using Boston Sound Choice and they have two packages.  The less expensive one is $650, which I thought was very reasonable.  The only thing you get for the  more expensive package is you choose your DJ, I think 1 extra hour, and backup sound on site just in case.  We went to a wedding that used them and they did a great job.  They've also been great to work with.

You should just ask a couple of djs. Our budget was $800 for the wedding. We got quotes from a couple of people, all over $1000, and told them all our budget. We found someone to do it for $800 and it ended up being my favorite vendor!

My DJ was fantastic and was only 600! Everyone loved him, he played everything we wanted him too. I can't tell you the amount of compliments we rec'vd about him!!! His name is John Claffey Spinnunes.net

My DJ is also inexpensive - I think he's $650? But REALLY flexible - I was just recommending him the other day, he doesn't get a lot of press on here (he mostly does stuff in southern MA/RI, but travels everywhere), he's an old friend of mine, and he's great.
