Menus?

Hi Ladies,I am less than 2 weeks from my wedding and I have programs and placecards completed.  I may have some time to do menus.  Did you do them?  Is it worth the effort?  At this point, I could go either way!

I made menus and loved them. Mostly because I knew I wanted a pro pic of them. But it's definitely one of those, "like to have" not "need to have" items. Here's a pic of mine:

Wow- what a beautiful job!  How did you lay them out?  Also, I have loved your pictures since my wedding will be in SF and I love how your photos capture the beauty of the city!

Thank you, we are so happy with how it all turned out - we wanted the city to be a big part of our wedding!! I made all of the paper products in Adobe Illustrator, I had already had some background working with the program so it wasn't too difficult.

Beautiful! Did you print them yourself? What kind of paper did you use?

We are having menus because I like to know what is going to be at the buffet before I go up.  I made them today in fact.  Trying to get as many projects out of the way before we move.  They will be tucked inside red gingham napkins (which my mom is making.) Very cute!  I suppose most people are more organized than I am!  I think I can squeeze this out within 2 weeks- I am just about done with everything else. As long as my guests stop changing their minds on attendance, that is!

legaleagles - I printed them at a local printer. I'm in marketing and the printer I work with offered to print all of my paper products for free (but not invitations - done through etsy). It was printed on 80 lb. white linen paper. They printed it on 100lb glossy cardstock as well, but I chose to go with linen because I thought they looked better.

I went to a wedding that had them. They were nice. I think they were printed on postcards from Vistaprint. You could probably wait until they are free or on sale before you buy them

Thanks for all the great ideas!  I'm less than 2 weeks away so vistaprint won't work, but I'll put some of my layout skills to work!
