    Thanks ladies! And I'm hoping that this makes a positive impact on my overall credit rating since having so much money out against my name kept it out of the "excellent" catergory.

    ah, that's a great feeling!Alas, we're in the opposite boat-- FI *just* made the first payment for the MBA he got in May. But he has a much better job, so that helps ;-)

    Yea, if I knew then what I know now about paying them off, I might have chosen a cheaper university.  But since I didn't, at least I loved my time there, so it makes it a little more worth it.

    Congrats!! That's an awesome accomplishment. MH and I both have lots of loans from the same college where we met, so we joke that we paid thousands of dollars just to meet each other :)

    Congratulations!!! Wish I could say the same. I have 75K to pay off.....But when they are paid off I will definitely celebrate!

    wow i wish... undergrad cost me upwards of $120k so uh yah, i'll be celebrating in about 30 years.  locked in at 2% so im in no hurry.

    Congrats!! I can't wait for tha feeling, but I have a lot out so it will be like 20 years. :(  But I paid off my credit card debt a few months ago and that was really exciting!
