  My dad fired our original cake baker (Cindy Hammond at Bakehouse). DH and I preferred her cake to the one that my dad wanted. We got married in January and the one we initially had was a pumpkin spice cake. In the end, we went with Couture Cakes. The cake looked gorgeous, but was really sweet and completely opposite from what DH and I wanted. Dad's money, his cake, though. Several of our guests commented on how good it was, though.

  We also went with Couture Cakes. We got our wedding and grooms cake from Susan. She was great to work with and we were pleased with them!We also got quotes from Kathy and Company, Strossner's and Publix.

  I've gone with Kathy & Company after multiple positive references and a tasting - cakes are delicious and she can basically do whatever you want.  Plenty of choices...

  Thanks!  Some have also recommended Holly's Cakes and Gretchen's.  Any feedback on either?

  Although we did not go with Gretchen's because her style was different than what I was looking for, her cakes are delicious!

  Obviously, I haven't seen the finished product yet, but I went with Holly after meeting with a few others. The cake was tasty and much more affordable than the others too!
