So let's say you have a large sum of money (more than your partner) or maybe you won the lottery or whatever. Would you make your FI sign a prenup?Yay or Nay?

    Nay. And DH and I were in this position- one of us had some family money and the other didn't. I think it would be different in the case of a family business or something like that, but I think when you get married your share your finances, be it good or bad.

    I would also say nay.  I wouldn't judge someone in that situation for getting one (I understand it's the smart thing to do), but I wouldn't be comfortable with a pre-nup under any circumstances.

    Nah, my IL's wanted him to have me sign one but it never went beyond that, I wouldn't be offended by it, it just never came up between him and I, only between the IL's and I :) If I won the lottery the ticket technically would have been bought with both of our money since we have joint accts so that'd be pretty sheisty to make him sign one.
