I was reading your confessions and just wanted to say that I had uplighting and draping and was sooooo happy with my decision. IMO worth every penny!!! Not sure that I'm helping with your budget, but just wanted to let you know that it won't be a waist IF you decide to do it.

really???? thank you !! I'm so confused. I mean, I'm not over budget but we're pretty close to where our budget is (but we're pretty much done everything) - I'm SO torn... if you had to pick one or the other, what would you pick?? (draping or lights?) - who did you use??

If I had to pick one it would be lighting. It gave the room such a nice and romantic feeling. I used Ubi for lighting and Leyani for draping. I LOVED my draping but I think people commented and noticed the lighting more. Also take your room into consideration. What kind of draping do you want to do? I did draping behind us for pictures and on the ceiling, since Jungle Island's ceiling are so high I was able to get away with..I feel it added more drama to the decor/room! Also for the lighting... if your room is enclosed than the lighting will make a huge difference, but if your room has a lot of windows, it may not make a big impact.

I am really leaning towards lighting versus draping!! I have a generic ballroom at the Embassy Suites - it's pretty, but pretty simple and plain. I think uplighting would really make the room gorgeous!! The draping would only be above the dance floor which is pretty but probably not needed - I think people would notice lighting more!! I'm thinking of getting a pink color (our colors are choc brown, pink, ivory and hints of gold) - I'm going to ask FI - thank you!!!
