Color Change?

So we are doing the whole black and white damask theme but our accent color has been pale yellow. Well I'm trying to decide if it would be better to skip the yellow and go with sage green (light green) instead, for a couple reasons, 1- I feel like it will be impossible to find the right color flowers because I don't like bright yellow and 2- It's not a popular color so it's harder to find stuff in that color for wedding related things as well as other stuff in general (example: wanted to do yellow stamps on our invites to tie in that color but they only have bright yellow). I love green pretty much as equal as yellow, my only concern is that a lot of people are doing green so I don't want to do it because it seems like the "popular" color choice. So:1-Should I stick with yellow?2- Should I change to green?3- Should I have both and just use green where I can and use yellow when I find it in the right shade?

I think there is a site that you can make your own postage on?  Some people were dong pictures of themselves.I think either color would look great with the damask.

I LOVE YELLOW with the black and white, so that's my choice.  But, I understand your dilemma. Our yellow was more "goldenrod" and we too had a hard time finding things.  But we mostly stuck with the B&W stuff and just little yellow hints.I honestly think it won't be terribly difficult to do pale yellow flowers.  Are there other things you had wanted pale yellow that you can't find?  And FWIW, our stamps were pale yellow (but they were more than standard postage).

Oh for stamps I meant an ink stamp to stamp on the middle of the wording part of the invite, haha sorry for not clarifying that :)

I personally LOVE your color scheme.  I wouldn't compromise just to make it easier.  You may just need to do a lot less yellow stuff in order to get the colors right! That being said, I think sage is very pretty (I'm using greens so I'm biased).  Green and yellow and black and damask might be too much though.  Kinda over whelming.  Green/Yellow/Black is ok but the damask kinda puts it over the top IMO.

Sage green was my main color and it seems to be pretty popular right now.  It was fairly easy to find flowers to match the BMs dresses though.  Personally, I like yellow tih black and white better than green.  Have you met with any florists yet?  Maybe that would help your decision if the florist can recommend some pale yellow flowers.

I feel your pain! We're getting married in Key Largo in April and I wanted to do tiffany blue and red. But I cannot find anything that is the right tiffany blue - it's all aqua! I say stick with yellow - you'll be able to find the right color eventually!

I like sage green, but not really with black and white damask. I keep thinking back to mrs.katematch's wedding, which used the yellowish color and b/w damask, and everything looked BEAUTIFUL. Like others said, you don't really have to use a LOT of yellow -- just little pops here and there. The damask is dramatic enough on its own!

I would stick with the yellow if I were you- I feel like once you switch colors you'll be finding the yellow every where and wish you hadn't changed. Plus I think the light yellow with black and white is beautiful! For flowers you could just do all white flowers with yellow or yellow gems on the flowers for accents.

If you change to green - what kind of flowers would you get then? One of my colors is green and I feel like it's tough to find the same matching color of green in paper, ribbion, etc so I think you'll have the same problem if you change.

I really like the damask with yellow.  I'm in love with yellow but my dress is a light gold so there went my yellow wedding.

I vote for the yellow - it is such a perfect color for June, and I love how it pops against B&W. I second the PP who asked if you've met with a florist - I've seen gorgeous pictures of flowers that are pale yellow...

I'm going to side with a lot of the group and say stay with yellow and you'll find things, even if its just small splashes of color. Either way, I say do yellow OR green, but not both.

YELLOW!!! I could be making this up, but can't you buy blank ink pads and sort of make your own ink?? Perhaps you could mix a yellow ink with a white ink or something...Otherwise you could look into specialty shops that specialize in stamping. There is one in La Crosse, WI called Stamp&Hand. It is overwhelmingly full of any and every thing you could want regarding stamping. I am pretty sure you can get opaque ink pads in pastel colors, so you may be able to find a pale yellow...

Kclepire- For flowers I would do a lot of green hydrangea, possibly green carnations and green orchids. I would do a quite a bit of white flowers still too. Thanks everyone for your input. I really really want to do green right now but I know if I just sit on it for a couple weeks and stop freaking out about not finding yellow stuff that I can figure it out.
