How about Traverse City & you could do wine tasting?  Or you could spend a weekend downtown and stay at one of the Casino's.

Your ticker says you have zero days until your wedding, but you are planning a bachelorette party?  *confused*

I vote downtown,we get a bad rep. here. But there are a lot of fun things to do.But I dont think it compares to Chicago. So maybe someplace like Traverse would be fun,or if it is in the summer mackinac would be awesome too.

More specific?? What part of MI are you looking at (do you want to travel farther or stay close to the west side) & when?? You could do South Haven or Grand Haven... wine tastings would be fun too!If you are looking to go to Detroit, I would say Casinos!

MeganAshley-- We are looking more like renting a cottage and staying for the weekend. Its going to be early May or late April so were not sure how the weather will be at that time. Any ideas you have is fine, we were hoping to stay more south or west michigan, so our drive is not to far. Thanks!

April/May is still pretty chilly... I dont really know what's happening West Coast of MI during then... Tulip festival is in Holland in May... There are also cottages in South Haven to rent, I love South Haven but have only been in the summer... Michigan City has a casino... I LOVE Grand Rapids, but not really a cottage rental place...

Saugatuck is expensive, but there are a lot of bars to hop around at. Just be sure to look around at pricing first- we were in a wedding in Saugatuck a couple weeks ago and the prices were astronomical!Holland has rental cottages but if you go around Tulip Time they will be very very expensive. There arent really any bars in Holland to go to. Or at least not fun bars the bars that they do have are located away from where you would most likely be renting a cottage and are frequented by mostly mid 20's and locals. There isnt a dance club or anything like that. Grand Rapids wont have cottages, but there are a lot of bars downtown. There will be younger people here as opposed to the previous two places- a lot of college students from West Michigan party in Grand Rapids because their small colleges dont have their own town. I know that I had more fun dancing and talking in Grand Rapids because there were people my age around. There is a good mix of bars and things to do. If you want to venture to East Lansing you will get the fun college vibe, but of course there arent cottages in East Lansing either.HTH

Yeah, I totally agree with eclispe post... if you want to leave Chi town to come to MI for a bach party, I highly suggest the casino's downtown Detroit. Greektown, Motorcity, or MGM.

I live in Chicago and am from MI originally. I had my b-party in Chicago, but I threw my sister's in MI. For my sister's bachelorette party we rented a cottage on Lake MI. We went out to dinner Friday, laid on the beach on Saturday and then went out in Traverse City Saturday night. It was the last night of the Cherry Festival in TC so it was a blast! I rented the cottage from this company: http://www.leelanau.com/vacation/ I would also recommend staying in Traverse City and staying at the Park Place. It's very near downtown so you would be close to a lot and could walk. From TC you could also go to several wineries that are in the area. I went to a few this summer that were quite close and we bumped into several party buses on winery tours. Check out: L. Mawbin Blackstar Farms Ciccone Vinyards (Madonna's Father's Winery) Willow Vinyards You could do just those four and be happy! You could also check out hotels or cottage rentals (depending on season) in these towns along Lake MI South Haven Grand Haven Saugatuck Holland I'm not so sure about the bar scenes in these towns though. E-mail me if you need more info! cindystiff at gmail dot com

One really fun place in Grand Rapids is The BOB. There are several restaurants, dance clubs/floors, and a comedy club all in one building.

My sister & I did tastings at all the wineries Cinday named off.  Loved them all!!!  Traverse is awesome.  I also agree on the downtown Detroit scene.  Greektown for bars and restaurants & the casino; Bleu and Envy are my pick for clubs in the area, then there's they have clubs inside the MGM and Motor City as well.  Motor City has the best buffet.
