i just tried to post on the E board for like the 2nd time ever and I double-posted on accident. F#$% I hate looking like an idiot on E. raaarrrr.

did anyone else make a stupid mistake recently?

Well not really a mistake, but when I went to get lunch today I ordered and then stood there holding my credit card with a dazed look on my face while the cashier told me the total TWICE! before I handed it over to her. Also embarrassing

PS I admire your courage for even posting on those boards. I stay away from all boards but this one and August 2012 for fear of being attacked by piranhas. (No offense to any of you lovely ladies who might be regulars on some of the main boards, but some of the regulars are pretty harsh to newbies).

I am getting my butt kicked right now on the Getting In Shape board. I posted about Body by Vi and asked if anyone else on there had tried it. Some girl wants to just argue about it. I cannot believe how rude and distasteful some people are. So much for asking for opinions/help in a constructive, postive place! The funny part is she has been married 2 years according to her bio, why would you be on TheKnot's Getting in Shape board judging other brides when you clearly don't need to worry about losing weight before your wedding? I just don't get some people, I really don't. So much for posting on another board. Geesh!

Oh, the etiquette board is pretty ugly at times too. Beware if you ever need to head over there!

our Columbus board though! Everyone here is so supportive and friendly.

Same! I wish someone had warned me about the etiquette board, I got ripped to shreds. I will stick to my Ohio boards from now on, always had positive advice from you ladies!

I am glad I am not the only one who thinks the other boards can be very very very rude! I have read post and I wonder were people get the balls to talk to people they don't even know, who are just asking for a little advice, the way they do! it is crazy.

I stick to this board, November 2012, and DIY manly, everyone else I lurk on but don't talk to much for fear of getting yelled at.

**Oh miss owl I saw your post on the etiquette board and I thought that lady was rude for being like I just answered you a minute ago blah blah. Like obviously it was an accident.

Miss Owl - Don't take it personally over there on E. I was so imtimidated at first. The girl that responded to your double post with that comment was a newbie anyway. I don't know who the eff she was. We all make mistakes.

Is e board the etiquette board then? there are so many abbreviations on these boards I sometimes have trouble. It's like a secret code that distinguishes you between a newbie and a vet poster. This sounds bad but it took me a few posts to figure out even straight forward abbreviations like FMIL, etc...I need an acronym translator for the knot. I have never been good with all of that stuff. I even remember asking people in middle school on aim what lol and brb meant. Does anyone even use things like aim anymore? I feel like I am starting to sound like I am old in this post.....you know....when I was your age....

OSUchica- I had a hard time with the abbreviations with this board and AIM. And you're not old!

I also stick to this board. I'm scared to post on other boards just because of some of the posts I've read. I don't want to make an a** of myself. Don't feel bad Owl - you have more guts than me!

I was SO going to post something about this the other day!! I posted something on a board about kids at weddings and I was telling the original poster what my fiance and I were doing for our big day. It wasn't confrontational AT ALL (I am like the least confrontational person ever LOL) I said something that we were having some great day care people from church watching the kiddos just during the ceremony (like an hour TOPS) just right down the hall from the sanctuary. This way there are no distractions because the sanctuary is very, very echo-y and the door to get out is not in the back like most churches so it would be really obvious when someone got up to tend to their child. Then the kids will join us for the reception! This one girl posted and was SO RUDE! According to her ticker, she has been married over 2 years and still had her wedding photo posted on there. Does she have nothing better to do?! Oh, and she had over 20,000 posts! I wasn't asking for anyone's opinions at that point... I was simply telling the poster what we were doing. Needless to say, I have avoided ALL boards except this one where all the nice people are
