Need a really good cookie recipe (nut free)

Anyone have anything decadent to share? Jo and I are making cookies tonight for J's nightshift crew on Friday. I want to make something delicious but not too difficult.

 • These pumpkin cookies are so good and you don't need the pecans. I usually make half without anyway since the H doesn't like nuts in cookies. Oh, and as a time saver, they really don't need the frosting either, I find it can make them too sweet and be a little overkill. Throw in some extra chocolate chips for good measure though.http://bakerella.blogspot.com/2008/10/pumpkin-pecan-chocolate-chunk-cookies.html

 • These are not cookies, but they are the best dessert I have ever made (plus it's easy): 14 oz. caramels 1/2 cup eveporated milk 1 pkg German Chocolate Cake mix (18.5 oz) 1/3 cup evaporated milk 3/4 cup of butter (melted) 2 cups chocolate morsels (I have used both milk choc. and semi sweet and they are both good) *microwave the caramels and 1/2 c. of evap. milk on a low setting until completely melted (stir every 3 minutes) *mix cake mix, butter, and 1/3 c. evap. milk and spread half of mixture in a greased 9x13 pan (I just use my hands) and put the remaining mix in the refrigerator *bake at 350 for 8 minutes *pour the choc chips on top evenly and then pour the caramel on top of chips *take the mix from the refrigerator and roll into small balls and smash flat and place on top of caramel (it's ok if there is space between) *bake for about 20 mins (sometimes I only do 18 mins)
 • Oatmeal scotchies are always a big hit whenever I make them. The best part is that the recipe makes a lot of cookies:http://www.quakeroats.com/cooking-and-recipes/content/recipes/recipe-detail.aspx?recipeId=465

 • Ditto Cali. Those are my H's "specialty." Everyone always asks for the recipe and he has to say, "um, it's on the back of the butterscotch chips package."

 • I think we'll go with the scotchies. Yum. Thanks all.
 • I love the back of the chip its bag ressypee. I usually add a bit more dark chocolate, but they are by far my favorite.
