late church ceremony?

Hi all,

Anybody know of a catholic church in the Hudson Valley/Westchester county that will perform a late afternoon ceremony? Say between 4 and 5 p.m.???

My ceremony is at St Pius X Church in Scarsdale and it is at 3:30... He let me pick the time... Just call and ask around

Not gonna happen on a Saturday because of evening mass. Totally doable on a Friday though - ours was at 4.

I would definitely keep calling around. Since our chapel (up in Poughkeepsie) wasn't the main church in the parish, the priest told us we could have our ceremony at whatever time we wanted. You can find churches that only do mass on Sundays. I  think Holy Rosary in Hawthorne is one of them.... I may be able to find more...

You have to see it in person to understand how beautiful it is

Like pps said, it's not that you can't find a church to accommodate you, but since most have Saturday vigil masses, those churches that don't will be few and far between. So you'll need to make more than a few phone calls.

But curious as to why a 3:30pm ceremony won't work. You'll find that lots of churches have 5:30 masses and will probably be able to host your wedding at 3:30. so you would have a lot more to select from. Especially if you want a Saturday wedding. Like pp said, if you are planning a Friday wedding, the church should be able to host your wedding at any time.
