Because you ladies are the best I know you'd have great suggestions!Tonight we're going to one of my fiances' friend's girlfriend's birthday get to gether. {Umm yea is that a mouth ful or what?} We're going because she sent us a FB invite{ what the hell happened to real invites?} and because the guy she's dating for about a year or so now if my fiances good friend. She's nice, we hang but not supper buddies. So my question is what the flip do we get her for her birthday? Flowers? flowers and some girlie soaps and stuff? A shirt? ugh! Help! Nada? I would get her a Visa giftcard. That way, she can get whatever she wants but it's still a thoughtful gift.

Yea I like Amy's idea! I got them for two of my friends and they loved them. Maybe throw a little bag of jellybeans in there or something.

Try a Giftcard maybe from like Macys or Bath and Body Works or get her something from BBW. If u barely know the person a giftcard is the simple way to go!

Eh.. maybe I'm a mean girl but if you're not buddy buddy with her, I think flowers and/or a nice bottle of wine will do the trick!!

Andra I love Swoozies!! I'm going to have to agree with Courtney on this one--if you're not friends with her directly (meaning if her boyfriend wasn't friends with your fiance) I wouldn't stress about getting her anything. Flowers or a bottle of wine is fine.

Unfortunately, it's more from the fiance I think. Cause it's his friend. But I still think that glass is really cute. They're not expensive. About as much as you would pay for flowers and a bottle of wine. Just something different.

I would just offer to buy her a drink when you go out. None of my FIs friends get me anything when we invite them to my birthday outings. LOL

Since you don't know her too well, I wouldn't try to get anything too personal (people have different preferences when it comes to scents, so I would stay away from soaps, for instance). A bottle of wine or flowers is fine and totally appropriate.

Lo, try my go-to bithday gift....Anthopologie! Either a small gift or a giftcard from there is always appreciated. Plus they wrap it beautifully (for free) right there, so it's one less thing you gotta do. There's one at Merrick Park (right above Yard House) and one on Lincoln Road.Hope this helps! :o),ursula

i agree with just buying her a drink or a bottle of wine/liqour. My Fi's best buds and their gf's, (who i get along with great and pratically hang out with every week), never get me anything. we all just go out, and they order me drinks, or vice versa if it's their b-day.

I would get her a nice card and have you both sign and then IF ANYTHING buy her a birthday shot or drink...no need for gifts if you do not know her well. They also have those cute painted glasses everyone is talking about from Hallmark as shot glasses and it comes in its own case. Only like 6 or 7 bucks. Great buy and nice detail. They even have a Birthday Bling Girly one I got for a friend of mine. Hope this helps :)
