akron/canton alterations?

any recommendations for dress alterations closer to the akron/canton area? i know there was just a post about alterations, but everyone who responded recommended places up near cleveland and I just can't drive that far for alterations & fittings. i live in Vermont but bought my dress in Ohio since that's where I'm getting married (my mom is picking up the dress in the next few weeks and will keep it at her house in Canton) so I don't want to have to drive 11hrs to OH from VT only to then have to spend another 2hrs of my short visits in the car driving to/from Cleveland. any help is greatly appreciated...the woman my mom usually gets her alterations done with is not returning any of her phone calls so I am trying to come up with a plan B...planning from a distance is sometimes a little difficult :) TIA!

    I contracted a lady to do my bustle from the bridal shop dreams to realities in Medina. She did a very nice job, but I didn't have a whole lot done. (A bustle, cups in the dress, and some netting on the beads so I don't get a rash) But the store trusts her to do all their work...and she was pretty reasonable. Becky Gunthrie is her name and number is 330-220-5297

    There's this little shop in the Acme Shopping center in the Ellet part of Akron on Wedgewood.  I'm not entirely sure of what the name of the place is, but it's owned by a little italian couple.  My fiance's sister went there for her dress and loved it.  My cousins got their dresses done there and get pants hemmed there all the time.  They are very reasonable.  I think the only problem was that they had the dress for like 2 months to do alterations to it because they went to Italy for 2 weeks.  I could let you know the name of the place if this is a possibility for you.

    I went to alterations express. They were fast anand and did good work...its right by beldin village mall.

    I also went to Alterations Express. They didn't have to do a lot to my dress, but what they did was great.
